PASSWORDS: How to be more secure!

Hey Guys,
I am here with my second blog about Passwords.
Have you ever wondered how long would it take a hacker to crack your password?,
1) howsecureismypassword.net
→Use this website to find out how long would a computer take to figure out/ hack your password.
It will tell you about your password and give suggestions too. It tells you if you have a alphabetical or alphanumeric password and if it is in the top ten or top 40 or any top n list of passwords or not.It tells you if it is a recognized word or not. Amazingly, rather surprisingly, it also allows you to Tweet your Result 🐦!😉!

IN FACT , Some common Passwords are:
  1. 123456
  2. password
  3. 12345678
  4. qwerty
  5. 12345
  6. 123456789
So , I highly recommend you not to use such passwords. Most People tell you that you should use a complex password, with alphabets and numbers and special characters too! But rarely someone gives the reason behind it. Today I will give you a reason. It becomes difficult to guess is one of the reasons. But another is as follows.
Kali OS

KALI LINUX is a Linux distribution which is Linux's Most Advanced Penetration Testing Distribution, Ever. Most Hackers use only this OS for hacking. As it contains many tools for different purposes. If you wish to learn more you can visit the official Kali website by clicking HERE.
There are various tools available. I have made a video about the tools, please see it.Below is a video showing it:

So, in those tools as I shown you, there are word-lists as I showed it to you in the video. In those world-lists the top 10000 or top 20000 passwords are saved and when you do password cracking, for e.g: in aircrack-ng (about which I will be uploading in the next part of this blog)  it compares word - to word , the encrypted file which contains the password and the word-list and if it matches, then the password is cracked.
So, if you really want to learn vulnerability assessment, you may download KALI Linux by clicking Here.  You can also set dual boot in Kali and windows by partitioning your hard drive. You may google for a tutorial if you need help.I will be telling about it in later blogs too.
Do you get it? I mean did you realize? This is a free OS and anyone can download install and use it anytime! Do you still rely on your safety in the cyberspace? Do you think you are protected?
→Also use DIFFERENT PASSWORD FOR DIFFERENT WEBSITES.
Because if a hacker gets one password he would then use it on different websites with your account and try to log in. It is simple logic! Many people have their IDENTITY stolen this way!
→Another way to stay safe is to use an md5 hash. It is a type of encryption. Just go to THIS Website. Type any simple word which you remember easily and it'll give you a long md5 hash . It creates an MD5 hash of a string. USE it as your password. Memorize it or use another password like that.
WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG MY PASSWORD IS? SEE IT:!!!!!

MORE TIPS AND TRICKS IN THE NEXT PART- PART 2. But my next blog is about different interesting websites that will help you learn vulnerability assessment.
AND PLEASE FOLLOW COMMENT AND SHARE MY BLOGS IF YOU SUPPORT MY HARD WORK. THANK YOU.

Cybersecurity (1 )(2017)

"SECURITY IS JUST AN ILLUSION"

Hello EVERY ONE! This is my first " WEB LOG" or "Blog".
About me: I am a tech-savvy person. Cyber security geek. I want to know more and tell you as much as I know.I am a student of class IX .My name is Shubh V Khandelwal.

Disclaimer: I DO NOT INTEND TO PROVOKE PEOPLE TO DO SOMETHING WHICH MAY BE ILLEGAL OR IS "ILLEGAL". ALL THIS IS SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF KNOWLEDGE. THUS, THIS BLOG IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU. AND I DO NOT WANT OR WISH PEOPLE TO MISUNDERSTAND MY BLOGS AND DO WRONG STUFF!

With that being said, lets move on...

This is the "ELECTRONIC AGE". I mean today we have become so advanced. We have so many devices to suit our needs.

We humans , yes, we all , have become so so advanced but this is just the tip of the iceberg, we have a long way to go...

Ok, but we , although have  so many devices, forget to care about our security and identity in the cyberspace.

There are many cases in which the identity of people is stolen, people are killed for money, and hacked just for the sake of money, bank accounts are stolen, etc. This causes them to repent.

"Prevention is better than cure."

With this quote in mind , I will tell you how secure you are, what information do you give away each moment, and how to be safe .
We will be talking about interesting topics such as Networking, wlan sniffing, Website vulnerability assessment, proxy servers, Deep web, SQL injections and much more...
I hope you like my works and will become Cyber-security concerned as it is the need of the hour.
